Non-profits
Which ones are the most likely to be interested in crypto, but also to attract actual donations. Who in the organisation to approach? Who needs to green-light it?
- Donat should first focus on smaller to mid-size charitable non-profits that rely on direct donations.
- ‘size’ of the organisation is tricky to measure but they should have a
- decent online presence,
- base of individual donors
- still be small enough to not have a huge board of directors that would likely block adoption of crypto.
- Smaller:
- 1000+ Facebook/Instagram followers
- 100k+ czk collected on Darujme.cz or transparent bank account
- They are usually up for trying anything to raise money => ****easy to onboard.
- They don’t collect many donations so it will be even less in crypto
- Mid-size: Many non-profits are very small, sometimes and
- 5000+ Facebook/Instagram followers
- 500k+ czk collected on Darujme.cz or transparent bank account
- Harder to onboard because more people need to green light the decision
- Have a good reach/reputaion that will help Donat establish itself as a legit platform
- More donations in crypto can be expected
- Donat should use their channels to promote their crypto-fundraiser and in turn Donat itself.
Crypto Users
Which crypto users are the most likely to donate in crypto. Where and how to reach them?
- Donat should target active crypto users, most likely the ones who have already been in crypto for a while.
- Been in crypto for a while
- They are likely to have made significant profits and probably losses as well.
- Donating a little bit of crypto is not a big deal for them, some of them already have
- They like the option of remaining anonymous
- Active crypto users
- Have their own wallets (not just Revolut, Binance)
- Are used to making transactions, trades etc.
- Use Twitter, Discord, Telegram to keep up with the cutting edge development in the space
- Attend crypto meetups and events
- Crypto Builders
- All of them are active users
- They work at or run various crypto projects/communities
- They often get paid (at least in part) in crypto
